Homestuck Fanart challenge!

It's just some loose sketches but mostly for me to try out some colors
I know it's a long time since I last posted on this and it's because I have my own website with blogs and art gallery so it would be nice to check it out! (1920x1080 above or it might look broken!)

Okay, I know I just posted but right after I posted this, I just learned 2 discourses happening right now in the Homestuck fandom and I want to say my opinion as a former fan of Helluva-verse and a current fan of Homestuck!

When I heard Homestuck animated pilot, I'm actually excited and hoping it would continue as a series, open up new lore and classpects, giving some characters screentime (like Nepeta, Equius, etc.) and basically cover what the original webcomic didn't include in! The art style is suprisingly goes well with Homestuck and I really, really like it! And there will be more people discover Homestuck through this which is awesome! I'm genuinely really looking forward to this animated pilot!!

...Though on the other hand, I have some bad feelings about this Helluva-verse x Homestuck collab (since the pilot is produced by Vivziepop's second studio in Australia Spindleroo) Due to my past experience as a Helluva-verse fan, I'm kinda worried. I know every fandoms have its own ugly side but the bad side of Helluva-verse fandom is concerning. I fear that the fan ("those fans") might mischaracterize the Homestuck characters, have ship wars, stupid ass ships (like AlastorLucifer ship, i fucking hate that ship) and many more bad things. Because of the fan base and the toxicity, I had to leave and join Homestuck and Homestuck actually saved my life (I'll talk about it in the future lol) Seeing what have ruined me now turn to what have saved me is just... shocking. I was afraid that VivziePop may put her toes in the writing but fortunately she didn't (thank god) Though, she is awesome for making a second studio and HAVE HOMESTUCK as its first animation, I gotta give her that though.

I know what I disliked about the Helluva-verse fandom is happening in every fandoms but it's just bothering me since I was too close to the fandom, now I just look from afar to preserve my sanity and my enjoyment of a certain media! If anyone likes and enjoys HB/HH or both, you do you! It's not like I hate anyone who enjoys HH/HB but it's "those" people who are bothering me. So if you learn a thing or two, don't let those nasty people ruin the media you enjoy! Again I'm really excited and looking forward for the pilot! 

About the second discourse where The Hussie himself tries to take legal actions on the Unofficial Homestuck Collection for copyright claims, yeah kinda stupid since the Homestuck web is broken and you can see the images and he literally took down the only thing that let fans enjoy Homestuck conveniently. I'm not too worry about this since I have it installed on my PC already but I feel bad for the new people (and returning old fans) who are trying to get into Homestuck but Andrew Hussie just gonna fuck it up for everyone I guess.

That's about it for this update, I know I just post this art and just later drop this long ass rant but I just want to share what I think about these discourses
