research got me feeling evil

do u guys ever write a fanfic or js a story in general where its set in a different country than urs and u feel like a little freak trying to check stuff. writing a fanfic rn thats set in korea and i keep looking up "[thing] korea" bc i wanna make sure im using the right brands and such and it makes me feel like a koreaboo. "they dont buy malboros in korea, they buy esse ! :point: :nerd:" and i try to make sure i use incognito so i dont start getting ads about korean things LOL not a real problem but it makes me laugh a little in embarrassment. im working hard though !! for all my unlikely korean readers !! i try to be accurate !!!
