But... But summer just started:(?? : Journal 006

June went by just like that, then July felt like 2 weeks at most and I'll blink then August will go by and I'll wake up in September realizing I already started school, I'm in a room with a bunch of 18-20 year olds, chained to a computer and for the next year will be doing nothing more then submitting animation after animation after animation till I'm sucked for all I'm worth.

June was alright, when it came to July I didn't worry too much since here in the northwest coast, July/August is peak summer here so it was okay if I did nothing in June, I still got time. Then now its already almost halfway through August and I genuinely want to stop time. So many nice days to do fun stuff in July, but never did anything but work. Had my day off on all the cloudy 22 and below days but when it was 26 above I had to work the whole day. I really feel like this summer is just one of the worst summers I've had. Society truly died in 2020 and the last decent summer was summer 2019. All my summers since then have been so mediocre and I've been doing less and less each season as things get more restricted, expensive, and A.I infested. Summer 2023 was somewhat fine with the exception of ONE beach day where it was peak heat( 28 degrees to be exact), I managed to get 3 of my friends to come along, we all wore cute outfits, we arrived EARLY like 10am we met up, got loads of food, and did everything you would wanna do on a beach day. I think about that day everyday. I try to recreate that day this year and the year prior and nothing came close. I guess it was really only possible that day happened because we were all unemployed and in Juniors + one senior in highschool having easy classes. The things society and capitalism takes from you. 

So July was a wreck and now it's august. I see why everyone even my friend saying this summer was so bad which actually relieves my stress about it since now I know it more global then just me. I suppose "next year" unless we go extinct as a species by then. 

Just today my eyebrow piercing fell out which I don't even know how, but it did. I guess I rolled my face against the pillow and unscrewed the tiny metal ball and it just slipped out. I luckily found the pieces in my bed and when I go to the mall I'll get it re-pierced and inserted again. Maybe I'll be my belly button done too while I'm at it. Ugh I lost my spark. 

The only good news is I successfully purchased the things I had in my Ebay cart like 2 weeks ago and it'll be here very soon!

1. I got a new pair of headphones wired because all the ones I own (2) are barely working. I use an old pair of iPod earphones and those are going to snap soon and they are the ear cups ones so they don't stay in my ear comfortably and block outside noise. I don't care for noise-cancelling but I want them to fit and muffle noise. The wired earphones are deadstock vintage 2000s skullcandy ones! BRAND NEW LIKEEE!??!? comes with a case and theyre translucent pink. 

2. Next got deadstock underwear. DONT JUDGE OMG. DEADSTOCK = BRAND NEW. They're a vintage 2000s Calvin Klein and are low-rise and the print is red flowers which are so pretty. Also 100% cotton and these modern day boxers never 100% cotton. I get why synthetic is more common since it doesn't absorb sweat and stays dry more efficiently, but like tbh whose wearing they undies for more than a day so why you need them to last that long. I gym and I don't get ridiculously sweaty and just change after so um Abercrombie, Calvin Klein, Guess etc, y'all need to make natural fiber undergarments! Also synthetic is bad for your health.

Enough of my fiber rant, I love them so much and that same seller is selling a couple others from the same set with the cool designs so might buy another from him again later. Hoping they don't sell before I do.

3. Last I got a 2000s Skullcandy portable iPod speaker called the PIPE. It's the coolest thing ever and it was brand new as well. Its compact, portable and has a remote too! I need a speaker for my ipod. It's got that signature 2000s chrome finish too. So good

Love my ebay items, but hate the rest of whatever is going on. Praying they come in soon!
