Mp3 players and physical media

So, I literally just bought an mp3 player and I am so excited!! >< I've been wanting one forever, and I was finally able to get it! I have been recently collecting different types of "physical media" since I'm frankly getting irritated with all the streaming services and music platforms so I'm trying to take back from having to pay for so much stuff. 

Anyways tho, ik I'm already going to love having something dedicated solely to my music, since its rare for me to not be listening to something lol, but I just wanted to get others opinions about the state of things lately. And your guys general opinion about physical media making a comeback, ik a lot of older gens and even some younger people thing it performative or smthn but ik a lot of people genuinely are trying to break completely away from modern tech. 

What do you guys think? I'd love to hear people's opinions, especially considering this is a site emulating and creating a space like early 2000s tech and social media.
