Why do ppl h8 themselves???

Okay I’m actually so confused, my last 2 serious relationships ended because the other person THREATENED TO KILL THEMSELVES!!! Like can you love me like a normal person? I get it if they are reaching out but it wasn’t like a “I wanna kill myself what do I do” it wasn’t a “I don’t like what you’re saying/doing and you’re my only reason to live” LIKE BRO
