Welcome to Harvey’s Diner! (OC Lore Drop)

You’re in the Shinaniverse, the point where all fiction is connected and characters can cross over. In the middle of this fictional hub is a little diner surrounded by nothing, run by Harvey… or did anyway. The new owner, [???], has taken over and claimed Harvey’s identity! Despite (un)willingly taking over for the original owner, he really really hates this job. He despises, loathes, detests —and any other word that rhymes with hate— this job. But he can’t leave. He is forever trapped, in the center of all fiction without a memory of the life he had before

Hi! This is a world build I came up with in 2024, I never did much with it until now because finally stamped down on the background.

This was the original concept:

“*Actually name is Cylix. Walked into a diner bloodied because a literal bowling ball fell on his head the hour before. Harvey had a heart attack and was dead begins the counter. A mafia crew…”

Uhh the background changed a bit. The comic strip (that o’ currently making a full paged comic on) is truthful to the first day he was thrown into this world.

In the newer version, [???] dies in the real world when he’s transported to Shaniniverse. He wakes up inside the diner obviously confused and realized he’s a flipping bowling ball? What the heck is going on? He remembers nothing but he knows he’s not supposed to be here. 

To his dismay, he finds Harvey dead behind the counter. But before he can even do anything, a mafia of some sort comes into the diner and threatens him and confusing him with Harvey. The mafia threatens him so he can cater for the entire mafia. They’re the ultimate ‘Karen’s’. 

Luckily, while he was scrambling trying to learn how the heck he’s going to do anything when he’s never done this before, a little cloud floats up next to him behind the counter and greets him. When [???] asks about Harvey’s dead body, it’s suddenly gone. The cloud, Lumi, tells him that he’s crazy and refers to him as Harvey.

Lumi teaches ‘Harvey’ from the sidelines, watching as he struggles to feed all 30 mouths of the vicious mafia. Once everyone is fed and gone ‘Harvey’ tries to leave but can’t. Realizing then that he’s trapped in this diner indefinitely.

Remember when I said this was the hub of all fiction? Well “Welcome to Harvey’s Diner” is basically just an excuse for me to be able to draw any character I want, interacting with Harvey!

Full origin comic page coming soooonnn!! I will be digitalizing these comics as well as the character sheet! And don’t worry, I’ll show you a picture of Lumi in a bit! I haven’t made a proper drawing for them yet :)
