For as long as i can remember my human life, my DS has been there to guide me through my troubles. I have tens of games that have helped me through sun and rain, night and day. My earliest memories are of playing Mario Kart DS around the age of 5, and since then my DS helped when i needed it most.
This morning, I awoke to see that my DS was dead, despite charging all night. I tried my backup chargers, but they didn't work either. I tried to charge my backup DS, and it worked fine. My heart froze and i wept for minutes on end. His life flashed before my eyes, and i unlocked a fond yet forgotten memory of my dad buying me that very DS at a used games store.
Now, we must remember my favourite games that helped me through my life up until today, next to the age that i got them.
- Mario Kart DS (age 5)
- Super Mario 64 DS (age 6)
- The legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (age 7)
- Drawn to Life (age 8)
- Nintendogs (age 9)
- Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (age 10)
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (age 11)
- Spore Creatures (age 12)
- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (age 13)
May my Nintendo DS forever rest in perfect peace.
200? to 2025, R.I.P.
