finished my first year :0

okkkk so like i literally officially finished my first year of college a little while ago now and like omg that's like tooo crazy to even understand yk

but omg it's been like such an experience so far, and like i would not trade it for anything else, even though there were some not-so-good times mixed in there as well 

but yeah, i did a lot since my last blog post that i mentioned a few things here and there on some bulletin posts, but i figure they need to be mentioned here as a bit more permanent

so like, at the very start of the new quarter, after spring break, my friends and i went on a day trip over to san francisco! 

it was cool, it had been a while since i got to hang around out there, and it was a cool experience to travel somewhere with friends 

we did almost get stranded out there, but like that, besides the point lol (we made it back fine, but some people got a bit stressed out throughout that part of the experience lol (which is like totally understandable fr)) 

but yeah i feel like i was very go with the flow in that moment because i knew that if everyone was freaking out we would never be able to figure anything out yk but yeah i feel like i'm always so filled with anxiety over scenarios that don't actually happen that when something does go wrong i end up being calm but anyways back to it lol

but yeah, we went to this farmers market, the pier, chinatown, this big mall, and walked a lotttt

and then the next weekend was this super big event that my college does every year, where a couple of friends and i woke up and went to see the sunrise, which was cool, and we got some cute photos, which was nice 

and the rest of that day, we just went to different activities that were available all over campus, which was nice, but there were so many things that we didn't end up being able to do everything we wanted, but it was still a super cool time

oh, and one of my roommates did that one makeup trend with the clown makeup with me, which was real fun, cause back in the first quarter, we both did our makeup together a few times, which was really fun, so it was nice to do it again

and we took pics and vids, and it was just a cool thing to do without other plans yk

but yeah, i spent a lot of time outside during the spring since the weather was so nice, and the campus just really comes to life with such pretty nature everywhere, which i took full advantage of 

and one of my friends' families was nice enough to include us in their easter plans and let us hang out with them while they were visiting, which was super nice of them and was very nice since i wouldn't have had anything to do with easter this year otherwise

but yeah, the most common occurrence for me this past quarter was sitting in the lounge with one of my roommates and one of our friends after dinner, doing schoolwork and studying, and then talking and getting distracted lol

and the second most common occurrence was probably going to the on-campus market for ice cream or a smoothie lol, cause like we obviously needed a little sweet treat to get through our work yk (also hot fries were kinda an obsession at this point too) 

ooo also, there was this festival thing that my school puts on every year for like a good sec now that one of my roommates and i volunteered for, which was cool we just helped out for a few hours, and we got a cool free t-shirt and one free meal 

our other roommate joined us later on, and we had fun checking out all the booths, and we even did this little portrait thing of us three, which was like super cute the artist did such a good job 

but yeah, overall we did some thrifting, watched some shows, played some jackbox, and had a lot of shared dinners, which was really all i could ask for yk

i'm real grateful for all the people i met and got to know throughout this year, because like i was pretty convinced that i was gonna end up all alone, but instead i got to share a lot of good moments with people i really enjoy being around 

there's a few other things i did, and i didn't really talk about my classes at all, but i feel like the epitome of this quarter was discovering my love for both being alone and spending time with people, because i feel like i never really fully appreciated either, if u get what i mean

anyway i really had a great time overall, and i'm excited for my second year of college and to take on apartment living! 

i really hope the connections i made this past year continue to grow strong and that i am able to keep up academically and that i am able to keep up financially lol but yeah it was amazing i really enjoy the town i get to call a second home and now i think i'm going to write another blog about the cincerts ive been to recently because omg like literally lifechanging lol
