A lil about me / test blog

Hi ! my name is sour ! I live in Minnesota, I have a lot of pets including 8 dogs, 4 cats, a rabbit, and a blue and gold macaw. I am a minor, I'm going into my junior year of high school in about 3 weeks. I love music, fashion, books, and ART ! I listen to a lot of bands, both mainstream and lesser known, and i have an endless catalog of music recs if anyone wants any <3 I listen to goth, grunge, metal, hip hop, punk, rap like bbno$, and pop from the 90s and 2000s, pop isn't as good as it used to be... My FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE band is Nirvana, and i have a slight obsession with Kurt Cobain,

I also love physical forms of media !!! It's sooooooo sad that they ae dying out, i'm already meeting kids that don't know what a DVD is T^T ! I have a huge record collection (400+) and i'm trying to get my hands on a couple more, but they're kind of expensive. I also have all of my parents old mixtapes and 1000+ CDs, I even burn my own CDs and i'm so so happy that my car has a CD player. I also like physical images, i have a polaroid camera and i get a lot of my images on my phone printed out too, it's nice because I scrapbook a lot. 

Speaking of books and speaking of being on my phone, I've become a pretty big reader recently ! I've started switching out my phone and doomscrolling time for a book this week. Every time i want to just scroll on my phone, even if i'm only sitting somewhere for a few minutes, i pull out my book instead. I've finished 3 books in 4 days and I'm pretty proud of myself !!

My other main interests are fashion and art which often go hand in hand for me ! I've recently started making and altering my own clothes ^-^ I personally think that everyone should alter their clothes in some way to make their wardrobe more their own. I can sew pieces from scratch, make pants baggier, paint on anything, bleach paint, sew on patches or beads, crochet items, and even crochet things on to other clothing items. This is all SO fun ! and it's way easier than it sounds, you just have to be brave enough to give it a shot <3

I make other art though, not just clothes. I also paint, draw digitally, embroider by hand, needlefelt, crochet a wide variety of items, sculpt clay, make paper mache, etc. I'm thinking about opening digital commisions soon and traditional commisions later on. I have an ongoing webcomic (planned out for about 3 years unless i get WAY faster at drawing) and I write my own crochet patterns sometimes. I am also doing art events on Instagram if you want to check that out <3 !! 

In the future my blogs will be about more specific topics in the genres i mentioned. I will tell you about how thrifting changed my life, how to find your own style, how to deal with bullying, how to alter your clothes in different ways or sew different things, i will share my sketchbook, give art and fashion inspo, talk about my art events or give prompts, talk about my comic, important music news events, what i'm listening to, my physical media collections, what i'm reading, how i learned how to crochet, and so so so so so much more !

To end this I just want to say that i really like this site and i think i'm going to have a lot of fun with a blog because i am a chronic yapper !!!
