Linux is rising up and it might be the downfall of windows

So before I switched to linux, I was using windows 11. However something caught my eye when I saw how linux is rising in the EU and even some youtubers switching over to linux (including pewdiepie). Linux is basically an open source operating system that is known for being reliable and faster on older computers and even boosting gaming performance on some gaming PCs and laptops. the reason why people are switching to linux is because of windows invading your privacy with recall feature on copilot AI.  However after when I heard that multiple people are switching to linux, I also decided to switched to it and now my computer has never been better. The distro I am using is Arch Linux and me personally I have used linux before when it was 2021 and it wasnt bad but however it had a lack of support but now its 2025 and linux seems to be usable now with steam adding proton and soon in the future it might support windows apps. my first distro i ever used was obviously Ubuntu. With linux I never felt the freedom of using the computer before. I can change the reality itself and even game better. The FPS on linux is better than on windows, the performance got better and with no bloatware, my computer is fine. However everything comes to the sacrifice when it comes to switching to linux. Me personally i sacrificed Microsoft office easily because I already have a macbook for that reason.

However in conclusion: Give linux a try, no matter if you dont like it or you do like it, it's worth a try. If you also want to get windows apps working on linux WINE is the option and also linux is free so you dont hav e to pay anything.
