ohh my god i think i forgot to make any blogs since the chicago trip. i was hyping up me going to the concert so much on here and i just forgot to tell about it

ok so the concert was really really good band-wise, loved seeing them play up on stage and they sounded amazing as well! wish they played a few more original songs but it is the "Scholars Tour" so i can't be too upset about it. regardless, all of the songs they did play were really good and gethsemane and the catastrophe sounded the best out of all of them, in addition to the medley that they did near the end. rocked my socks off.... in the medley they played happy news for sadness and i started tearing up and when i was wiping my tears it was about 80 degrees outside and i had a sweater on an i'd been out there for hours so my whole body was caked in sweat and i just ended up getting a ton of sweat in my eye and it hurt but it was kind of funny

the only complaint i really had was the crowd, i guess... i don't know if it's just car seat headrest fans or if it's chicago but the crowd was really rowdy for some reason. there were several mosh pits formed and i had to actively avoid them in the super bunched-up crowd and that was a bit intense. it came to a point with the crowd-surfing during Planet Desperation that they had to stop the song to tell everyone to stop crowd surfing. i'm all for an excited environment but for the love of god some people need to learn spacial and social awareness dude. i want to hear and enjoy the songs without having to avoid a potential trampling :[

speaking of car seat headrest, a few songs have been looping in my head from them and i'll leave them down below. I also got a new vinyl/cd/cassette/radio player from my mom and it rocks, i ended up burning a cd for the first time in a bit to listen to How To Leave town on it and it's awesome. ended up making a cd cover and a song list on the back but i didnt have any blank printing paper so i just used sticky notes and i think it still holds together well

i usually dont burn a cd unless i know for a fact the album isn't going to be coming out physically any time soon, so that's why i burnt this one. i loved how to leave town a lot when i first listened to it but it keep growing on me more and more and i think it's a top 5 for me at this point. okay here are the csh songs ive been stucked in the head

this one got stuck in my head when i listened to it on the super music player cd thing and i was making the cd case art at the same time, and i forgot how beautiful and devastating this one is. there's depressing/sad songs that sound sad and that's why they're sad but car seat headrest (especially in the pre-label albums) had a way of making a song sound sad but very warm at the same time, and i think it's really unique and an amazing sound. that boy was losing his mind in his young adulthood i swear to god

i'll be an honest boy and admit i hadn't listened to teens of denial until three days before the concert and the only song i'd known from that album was drunk drivers/killer whales (i find it hard to give one thing my undivided attention for an hour sometimes please give me leeway here) but when i ended up actually listening to it, it didn't disappoint at all and i found out why this song is one of their most played. very good

not much to say specifically about this one other than i'm upset that it's not as popular as the other popular csh songs. i like this one a lot

the game mentioned a couple of blogs ago (i think)

college is less than a week away and i wanted to get as much work into this game as possible before i have all of my time stolen from me for a long time. still working on the inventory unfortunately, but it's looking and feeling really really good so far. not finished though so i won't show it juustst yet

I did, however, make a sketch of the main character after only going off an even poorer sketch i made a year ago. i slapped them in the game as a png that just sits there in the 3d space and they look funny so here's something to show if anything

here are a few status effect icons i made as well, they're super tiny in-game and that makes me upset because they look a lot better up close but ohhh wellll
