Texans, what are y'alls thoughts on the phone ban?

Heyyyy, so I'm a Texan myself, upcoming senior specifically. I know that we're all not the happiest with the ban that the governor signed into law for obvious reasons in regard to school shootings, I do wonder, are any of y'all planning on ways to get away with it and go to the bathroom for tiktok time or y'all just gonna comply with the rules? I'm simply wondering because I know some schools will do the yondr pouch or make it so y'all need to lock the phones up somewhere like lockers.

Fortunately and unfortunately my school installed metal detectors at entry points and for all schools within the district and we'll just need to keep our phones in our bags during school hours. I've come up with ways to be on my device without getting into trouble and ways to still access to things like messaging people on the school ipad. "why not just email?" "what about listening to music" thing is that our emails are moderated and we can only listen to music on apple music on our ipads...just apple music. No spotify, no youtube music, no pandora. Do I have the money and sanity to get apple music and consume no kind of (uncensored) entertainment? Fuck no. "this is not a big deal, you'll live", girl this is 2025. this is not the early 1900s where we had to solely rely on word of mouth and papers, the f-ck?

sorry if I'm just rambling, simply putting out my two cents on the ban. F-ck u Greg Abbott for everything you did to the state and its people.

I don't even live in Texas (I'm from California), but I'm in full support of cellphone bans in all K-12 classrooms and honestly wish that the high school I graduated from last year had implemented such a policy while I was there.

It won't fucking kill you to have to spend a few hours away from your cellphone and have to wait until after school to use it again. You'll live, I promise.
