I know this is hard to believe, but I don't like modern consoles. They always feel like they're trying to sell you something, to jump into the next game, next app, and it goes on. And they're expensive. So my preference lies within the red, yellow, and white. Really, any console that's HDMI isn't worth it to me, but that's mostly a side-effect of having unescapable online stores, advertisements (really, Xbox?), and other horseshit that makes them harder to use. Here's the consoles I DO care about, though:
GCN- it boots directly into the game, and that's legendary. The GameBoyPlayer is cool for playing GBA games(like Pokemon and Earthbound), the controller's sick, and there's loads of good games(TTYD, Melee, Sunshine, Wind Waker, Coloseum, Soul Calibur 2, Animal Crossing, Spiderman 2...), although they retail for a lot these days because of NoStAlGiA. Thank god for .iso dumping.
PS2- like GCN, but I can play GTA, Fatal Fury, Soul Calibur 2, and Tekken. Also DVDs- even though my TV has a built-in DVD player($20 at Goodwill), it's still nice. I don't use it as much as the GCN, but I also just don't have a good library of its games yet- I'd love to find Metal Gear, Tony Hawk, Rock Band, and other cool stuffs. PLEASE share cool PS2 games I should buy, I'd love to use it more.
360- This one goes against almost all of my principles. It tries to connect to the internet, the interface is dogshit, it wants me to buy Xbox Live, and there's no way of "fixing" it... but the servers are down for shop stuffs(thank god), and it gives me access to more modern games- Skyrim, GTA5, Halo 3, Fallout NV, Worms, Minecraft, Metal Gear Rising, Plants vs. Zombies... as well as cool shit like Symphony of the Night, Sonic Mega Collection, and... Soul Calibur 2. I fucking love that game. If you're reading this, go play Soul Calibur 2. You won't be disappointed.
Well, I'm off to shower and go to work- but if you're reading this, leave the coolest PS2 and 360 games in the comments. I'll be waiting.

during my move 3 years ago, my mom was rushing me since we had to pack and move that day. I was overwhelmed and she kept asking me what I wanted to do with my 360. I threw it away... years worth of memories with my sister that I threw away because I didn't want to deal with it in the move. I wish I could turn back time and its the only thing I will probably always regret.
that... sucks, big-time. if it's worth asking, did you ever end up getting another, or was that just the end? i mean, it couldn't replace the memories, but there's always the possibility of creating new ones

Not a 360, no. I threw it away cus I already had a Xbox one. But all of my games and profiles are gone. I’d feel even worse having one because I’d own a console that should’ve had my memories in it.
