IT'S NOT DEAD. CHECK THE BLOGS, CHECK THE FORUMS, CHECK THE CURRENT ACTIVE USERS, CHECK NEW USERS, CHECK BULLETINS, CHECK GROUPS!!! Please, put in some effort!! I know this site might be confusing for people who just joined; they usually come from places like TikTok, Instagram, or other fast-paced social media apps. They're not used to how slow SpaceHey is.
Tip for blogs: sort blogs by recent or click on a subject that interests you. Top blogs are the same for days, so it gives the impression of being dead. Click on a subject that interests you, flip a few pages, check the blog entries that interest you, even if you have nothing to say, leave a kudo, leave the most nothingburger comment like "I love it, it's so cool" or whatever, encourage people to be active yourself!!
I know a thousand blog entries are saying the same thing I am, but there are three the amount blog entries claiming SpaceHey is dead. IMO, the best word to describe this site would be dry. People come, customize their profile, make a blog entry complaining about this site being dead, and go. So try and water it with activity.
Treat this site as an attention span rehabilitation centre, if you will. Try to exit TikTok and maybe read some blogs for a change of pace. Leave a few comments and kudos.
I personally have no idea why people are so bored with this site. I'm having great fun! I love reading through blogs and bulletins, and I love adding people who have the same interests as me! Maybe I'm weird, but I can be on this site for hours. Maybe it's because I put some music or video on to accompany me, and it keeps my attention here, but... I can sit here all day, really.
You don't have to immediately IM (instant message, now more commonly referred to as DMs) everyone, in my opinion, it makes dry 10-minute conversations if you don't find a common interest. But just commenting on bulletins is enough. I recommend reading people's about me section before adding too. They might want you to IM them and be active, respect that, too. Read DNIs, interests, and like... check their profile.
Another tip: PUT YOUR DAMN INTERESTS IN YOUR PROFILE! People won't accept requests from nameless accounts. If you want to put blinkies, put blinkies and stamps that will reflect who you are and what you like! Preset blinkies won't do anything! They defeat the purpose of blinkies, the purpose being that they're your own special flashy pictures that represent you!

After losing my best friend I don't think I'm ready to interact with other people online so... that would be a bit difficult for me, I really miss him ;(

my only "problem" it's me being to shy to start any conversations with the friends i added, but like you said, i comment on bulletins and stuff!! and of course me being used to socials like instagram and tiktok and etc.
i personally use my blogs to show my things, like my pokemon cards and drawings
Yeah, I think you use it the way it's intended to! Not every of your friends needs to have a long thoughtful conversations, sometimes you just comment on each other's bulletins and blogs and that's fun. Fake 10 minute convos are worse imo.

. Personally, I love Spacehey. I like reading the bulletins, blog, and giving kudos. I like to comment and interact, to receive comments and to respond, that's why I mostly publish questions.
REAL!!! Just put in some effort! I know it's hard after getting used to TikTok but you need to put yourself out there and then everything goes smoothly, at least that was my experience.

i could spend all day trawling through recent blog entries... why is it the norm nowadays to expect all content to be spoon-fed?
It's easier for CEOs and all those people controlling these apps to control dumb people who are easier to get addicted :p

I have so many friends who think the internet is dying completely, they all live in the metropolitan area and they say things like dead internet theory and that there are no real people on the internet, but then they hang out on boomer social media platforms and think AI Art is dope but then wonder why nobody kino and real wants to have a conversation with them.
Just venting but I think certain people know how communicate appropriately and some people just want to see what they think about, and try to make it real through convincing others its real.
While I agree that the internet is being flooded with AI trash, they're doing it to themselves. The nature of these apps allows bots to spread like wildfire.

thank you for the yap please keep preaching the truth. what bothers me even more is when u try and explain this to someone and they get MADDD !??!!! like there's a solution to ur problem and ur mad at MMEEE about it ???? what !!! i get that a lot of people are upset that they're not getting much traction to their profiles but -- as u said -- they often times don't have anything going on. no interests, no graphics, not even their basic info :sob:
Honestly I just got a reply from some person saying the same "spacehey is boring and dead" blog entry. I told them what they can do and they replied saying sybau for some reason so yeah sob. Asking questions and then getting mad you don't coddle them and send them a link to a hidden feature where you can doomscroll. If you think SpaceHey is boring, newsflash: you're boring. For not being able to even entertain yourself on a site as simple as this one
