Hello !!
Today's frog species in the spotlight are Glass Frogs. And oh wow, they sure are fascinating!

Firstly, a few quick facts:
- belong to the centrolenidae frog family
- arboreal and nocturnal
- inhabit rainforests of Central and South America
And now you might wonder what's so special about these froggies. The one on the photo above seems pretty normal, right?
They use a type of camouflage called edge diffusion. It involves siphoning their red blood cells into their liver, which makes their skin transparent. When they sleep, they can use this defense mechanism even two or three times more effectively.

They also have translucent bellies and chests, so you can see all of their insides.
✨ I highly reccommend watching this entertaining video I found, if you want to see the frogs up close in awesome quality. You can even observe their heartbeats! Trust me, I was like WOAH. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V3B85bfVFI&pp=0gcJCfwAo7VqN5tD
These talented amphibians are very small (2-3cm), which makes them even better at staying hidden.

I don't have any more info to add so enjoy some more photos of these cuties. :P
