Ranking Beatles Albums - Please Please Me (1/12)

14. Chains

I do not like the use of the harmonica in this & it makes me feel as if I'm in a desert.

13. There's A Place

Same reason as Chains except I like the solo John has.

12. Baby It's You

Shalalalala.. Cheat, cheat.. What? It sounds like Elvis and even though I quite like some Elvis songs there are a LOT that aren't all great. Not a horrible song by all means, but just a bit sleepy in a way I don't enjoy.

11. Misery

I like the piano George Martin uses & it's an alright song over all. A flat song.

10. P.S. I Love You

I DO like this song. Past this point, I do enjoy these tracks. I like the vocals and rhythm.

9. I Saw Her Standing There

Just a bit off-putting of a song. Not bad but there's better.

8. Love Me Do

I would've put this lower but I don't want to sound like a harmonica player (I literally play one) but it does get repetitive rather quickly.

7. A Taste Of Honey

I sincerely LOVE this song so much. I've heard so many people hate on it and I don't get it. It's so Western, the mellow singing & the guitar lulling me. I will forever defend this song.

6. Boys

Ringo ate this song up. Ringo's infectious aura seeps in this song. ("Yeah, yeah, boy!")

5. Please Please Me

Love the bass, love the drums, love the singular verse a LOT. They ate. The album deserved to be named after this song.

4. Twist And Shout

If I lived in the early 1960s and this hit my club I just know I'd be on that floor. The build-up? Love it so much; never gets old.

3. Do You Want To Know A Secret

George Harrison <3 His songwriting is so mystical. A classic.

2. Anna (Go To Him)

I know this is a cover, but the Beatles play this song so well. I love the guitar & John's vocals SO much.

1. Ask Me Why
little drawing of person smooching another person on the cheek both happy
