going to training at chip*tle! it kind of sucks because i know i got a really awesome degree and design knowledge but the job market for graphic design, especially in the age of AI, is so cooked right now. i think the job market in general is cooked. i'm just going to practice my skills as much as possible. i'm working on an unpaid internship that's really teaching me things, but GOD, an unpaid internship sucks so bad! don't do it!! unless you really really want experience on your resume, which is... what i need. it sucks i didn't do this during school, but to be fair, i was really struggling in uni. socially, mentally, physically.
i'm hoping that this job makes it easier to survive - i'm mainly working at chip*tle for tuition reimbursement! is it crazy that i want to go back to school to get my masters in library science? i don't even know if libraries will exist with the way the U.S. is falling apart, but i've always had a personal attachment to them. they're resources of knowledge and also fun. i loved reading when i was younger and i'm trying to get back into reading now. i just finished reading the paper girls comic series, does that count? i'm also almost done reading all about love by bell hooks. i don't know if i'm going to retain anything from it.
anyways, wish me luck! it's literally a 3 hour training shift and like a 9 minute walk from my apartment.
