I finally embraced that to be considered cringe by some is to be seen as free by others and it was the push I needed to start dressing how I want. I hope like girls and boys see me in public and know that they can dress however they want

the nonchalant epidemic really is a scourge. usually when people call someone cringe what they're actually observing is someone being earnest and passionate.
conformity is the killer of human creativity. be passionate!!! no one ever did anything cool by doing what everyone else was doing.


(also if you've never seen/read the play (theres also a movie that i have not seen) "the importance of being earnest" i highly recommend it, it takes some historical context about victorian social conventions to understand but its a really interesting look into the worst case scenario of faking a persona to fit in. (in modern terms: a guy nonchalants too close to the sun))
