I contemplated putting my dream from the fourth up here, because it was a simple one, but also very heavy.
Got into an argument with my father because he was claiming he was the main character of reality, turned into a shouting match. This is because he screamed at me for turning on a light to talk to him because it put his life in danger from an apparent shooter on the loose.
Then I thought my mother was dead because her Facebook labeled her as so because there was some shooter I kept hearing about, but I called her and she was fine, so we talked about my father's god complex and anger issues. Then eventually that shooter was being chased in a car close by and I had to run through my house locking all doors and windows and running home in heavy rain.
So that one kinda messed me up for an hour or so after I woke up.
The one I had last night I can remember in more vivid detail.
Can't remember the absolute beginning of my dream, but at some point I'm sitting outside the dream version of the mall I used to go to. There are more stores outside and around it in this dream version.
I'm with my mother, and we're sitting at a picnic table. I'm watching people walk around, and there's a small shack outside selling alcoholic drinks. I use the Tool Gun to duplicate the shack and bring it next to me. There's no one inside, but there is a small television playing videos of Mark McGrath (guy from a band I like) making alcoholic drinks.
I make the one I see which was a strawberry liqueur, water, lemonade, and a garnish on the side, usually a lemon slice. No idea if that'd be any good. It's tall and on ice.
I start browsing the internet on a smart phone and find posters that are to be hung up in the mall in a year (July 2026) for when it closes permanently. (This mall has been closed IRL for years).
I get a bit upset because I loved going to this mall, but see there are signs for tons of stores I didn't know were here, because they were new. It went to show how little I actually went there if I didn't know. I look around outside and see new stores around, including a KFC and some other food places.
I got up and went into this British-inspired bar next to where I was sitting, but they allowed smoking in there, and it was very dark, so I quickly left.
I walked to the mall itself, which now had multiple stories (three, two were underground... kinda). I went into the lowest level which had a bar & grill kinda place, and then I walked out of it and went up a level. I saw a store and office center for a defunct 2000s cellphone company, but there were people working in the office still.
I turn around and see Japanese written on the wall, and think I finally found the Asian market I saw in a poster for closing. I walk over to it, but it's closed. It's also in the start of a long hallway. Because I've never known these floors to exist, I walk down it.
There are small areas with arcade games, and doors that look like dorm rooms. All of which have Japanese on them. The lights are all turned out, so the only illumination is coming from the arcade machines.
I walk further, and one dorm door is opened. There were two girls in there, cuddling and watching television. They were in pajamas, and I think one had glasses.
I didn't want to disturb them so I quickly turned around to walk away. Then I saw someone on the floor of the first arcade area. They got up and asked if they scared me, I said nah.
We walk out of the hallway and there's now a front door to the building. We walk out and it's a sprawling city. The girl and I talk about learning languages for a minute before she goes off, and then I turn around to go back inside, wondering how this city exists and I got there from the mall I was just at, which is in a very rural area, even the dream version is pretty rural, just with more places around the parking lot for it.
As I walk to the front door of this different looking building, a friend from my college walks out. I say hi, but they're in a rush. I walk back in and feel someone messing with the backpack I have now. It's an older black guy who swears he was just punching the bag for shiggles, I don't believe him and get in a big elevator all alone.
I open my bag to check and see all my money is there, so now I feel a bit shitty for being instantly judgmental about it, because that means I've got some racist issues to work out.
I am now suddenly in some store in the regular old mall, the mall itself is empty besides the worker in this store. It's similar of F.Y.E., a pop-culture and music store. I'm messing with a robot dog toy from the 2000s, and notice the closing poster that was put up early. I talk to the shop keep for a bit about it, and then woke up.
I should also mention that this dream had very obvious product placement in it. It seems those dream gnomes who make your dreams, which I talked about in another blog post about my dreams, are getting tight on funds. There was a very obvious KFC that I made sure to mention when talking about new stores, and my mother to talk about as well.
Mr. Amazon himself standing over my sleeping corpse with the Dream Beam™ (formerly the Cancer Gun™, used to give you brain cancer, the dream modifications were an unintended side-effect) pointed directly at my forehead. Bitches can't have shit, I need ad blocker for my brain now.
