Now Playing: Meet Me At The Carrousel - UneXpect
i don't know what summerween is, but i can see why people come up with it. it's BOOORIIING sitting around and bedrotting during the summer. but suddenly, counterargument; that's why people go on vacation and head to the beach, seeing family and friends.... but that's expensive, and what if your family's a pain in the ass?
fellas, fellas... i don't think i'm asking for very much here, but.....
WHEN THE HELL IS IT GOING TO BE FALL ALREADY?!??
and no, you can't skip to thanksgiving or christmas once it is! halloween is a DAMN GOOD holiday and i'm SSIIIICKKKK of so many people pretending it doesn't exist or outright avoiding it. to the people who put up their trees in fucking october of all months, i'm watching you. (/satire i'm not gonna start being salty over such trivial matters + ppl i don't know >3>. besides there's probably someone in another universe ranting about people like ME that adore halloween & horror. in my defense though? christmas is deadass overrated x.x)
on a serious note, i'm not really going to hold it against people who dislike halloween or don't celebrate. that's fine, you're not obligated to. goes for all the rest. and i mean, some people don't like holidays in GENERAL, you can't go wrong there either. the only thing i can't understand is people trying to make it out to be specifically a holiday related to Satan or summoning spirits and causing real harm. just because there are people that wanna do that shit on that specific month doesn't mean that's what it's about??? it has Pagan roots, but that doesn't even EXPLICITLY make it related to devil worship. sometimes people only say that kinda stuff to be edgy.
but then again--on some real shit, i really don't feel like going over people who wanna stretch a holiday all outta proportion just because it has different roots. that whole fiasco gives me a damned headache. T_T
so! on the other hand--as you might've already guessed by the vibe of this blog and post, i'm already looking forward to Halloween. last year i went as The Creature (Frankenstein's Monster), taking influences from the 1931 movie and making it more realistic, i guess?
one of my friends who went as Ghostface got a lot more reactions from his costume because they were in character and it was actually Really cool. i... kinda just romped around and enjoyed the atmosphere. also got mistaken for a zombie, but they aren't too far off. most of the monster's lines in the flick are unintelligible (womp womp no confidence), and i don't think it'd be that scary to start yelling "Accursed creator!" if there's no Victor around to hear it. now that i think about it, that's actually such a hilarious mental image.
truly, it's way less about being 'scary' per say, but i just REALLY like to scare people. i like it especially when we both get a laugh out of it, other times it's just as fine when it's random people (of course, if the occasion is right). i may be 17 but i'm just as immature, trust me. but really, i kinda don't hold it against myself--i didn't feel like i had much of an opportunity to really 'be a kid' when i was little, nor did i celebrate Halloween up until a bit recently due to my religious parents (namely my grandfather) scaring me away from it with religion.
RISE OF THE HORROR JUNKIE!!
really, i consider Halloween pretty sacred. in the sense, at least, that i can act how i please while i'm with my friends with More confidence--this goes for alterhuman and interest related things too, if the costume correlates to either. really, i'd love to zombie snarl and not feel a little cringe/embarrassed afterwards, or howl someday in front of them, but a good majority aren't alterhuman (and frankly i'm starting to fear if one of them subtly tries to say i Am infact human at times) and i'm afraid myself that it would look... odd. not only that but i feel like randomly acting akin to a mad scientist wouldn't be so nonchalant of me. they might not Say it looks corny but i'd rather not witness specific people sloowlllyyy drift away from me because i'm weird all the time and makes references to movies nobody watches anymore.
but! that's enough about my overarching insecurities. i think this year i might continue down the hammer/classic horror spiral and dress as a vampire, at least once i've watched at least Dracula or Nosferatu. (see what i meant by 'movies nobody watches anymore?') on the other hand, it would be quite fun to dress as a mad scientist again, especially since i've got a new Howie-styled lab coat to do it in. although it was once primarily for theatre, there's no possible way i'm not wearing it again.
so, reader, have you got any eerily early plans for Halloween? a party, perhaps? traditional trick-or-treating?? maybe even reanimating the dead???
you can comment about them... if you DARE! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!
cough cough... Fiddlestein is MUCH better at that evil laughing shit than i am.

Honestly i hadn't really thought about what to wear for the Hallo of ween but now that I'm thinking of it, I'm considering the possibility of going as Link from the legend of Zelda BOTW or TOTK (using an acronym because the names are too long.) Other possible costumes would be Undyne from Undertale which could be pulled of but I'm not sure of where i would get a full suit of armor and 12 inches of hair from, though another possibile costume (for me, because these are all for me i just now realized i didn't specify that these costume ideas were for me) would be Billy kid from ZZZ (yea the gooner game)
ooouuughh Link sounds fire. so do the other options but i'm just biased because i really like Legend of Zelda a lot [specifically OOT and MM]
