Okay so when I was 13 I decided I wanted to wear this long ass skirt to school everyday (I was going for Allison from the breakfast club but it didn’t turn out very well lol) and it basically made any form of bullying I experienced multiply by ten which resulted in me being assaulted multiple times, having stuff thrown at me, being followed around and being called slurs, being mocked all the time and getting my stuff stolen so basically what I’m asking is what should i do?
I’m starting school in around a week and I really want to wear this cardigan my nan gave me but it’s really long and baggy and I just KNOW it’s not gonna trigger a reaction from some people but I’m still going to wear it
IK it’s not the smartest move but I’m so sick of pretending like I give a fuck about their fashion opinions but I also don’t want to have people trying to punch and kick me every time they see me
This year wasn’t so bad for bullying as I wasn’t physically harmed and the harassment died down a lot since I stopped wearing the skirt ( I ripped it cause I’m a dumbass ) but I’m aware this is a risky move so if you’ve ever experienced this or have any kind of general advice let me know please and thank you 🙏🙏

Hi, so I second what the other commenter said about telling a counselor, teacher, someone else with authority, whoever you can. That is NOT OK.
Second of all, please don't take what they are doing as any reflection on you, your skirt, what you like etc. People like that are messed up and will pick on anyone they think is somehow different. It says more about their own issues than it does about you.
But please please tell everyone you can who can help you, this behavior crosses so many lines
Yeah I really appreciate all the responses I’ve gotten and will definitely take their advice!! Also yeah I have piercings and dyed hair and I’m a little stubby so I’m used to being judged by my appearance but I’m just so over it lol like I’m not gonna let myself be treated like that because they don’t like my sense of fashion haha also thank you sm for taking the time to reply :>

i'm sorry, but what is wrong with those people? Why did they attack you over a skirt? They are so fucking lame omg. Just use the clothes that you like and if some idiot say something: tell the teachers like some people said. Also I hope you are okay!

Usually I don't say this because I don't trust school counselors or staff because of my own personal experience; but TELL STAFF. Tell teachers, tell counselors, try to get a meeting with the principal and tell THEM if you can. If that doesn't work, genuinely, go to the police. They are attempting physical assault. That is a CRIME.
JESUS, YES, FOR REAL. Please tell any adults or a person that you feel safe to do so, thats really messed up.

Thank so much for the advice I really appreciate it I didnt even know if anyone would reply!! I did tell teachers and got them moved across the class so they could kick me under the desk and stuff and it kind of helped so if they try it again I’ll definitely tell the principle this time because I’m not doing this all over agin :] thank you sm

Thank you!!!! I’m okay haha it really affected me at the time but it honestly got really boring after a while xD
I’ve worked on myself quite a bit and I really value my happiness more which has helped my esteem a lot so if it happens again I’ll just be annoyed instead of sad lmao
