When I listen to Lana Del Rey, I don’t just hear music—I feel a soul whispering through poetry, vintage glamour, and haunting melodies. She's not just a singer to me; she's an era, a mood, and a legend. Her songs like "Brooklyn Baby" had hit the nails. I love how she uses words like jazz, guitar, poetry, and Lou Reed. Her songs are truly cinematic & aesthetic which no one can replace. A blend of timeless & phenomenal art.
If you know her then you're very lucky & a significant part of music culture. In the world full of pop & disco, she brought her own genre. A true vintage aesthetic that still people can't get over. If someone new to her music videos watches Blue Jeans, Born to Die, or Ultraviolence, they might think these are songs from modern 2020s because of their cinematic depth that transcends time. The truth is, her style is both vintage as well as modern.
I really like how her music career began during the early days of the internet, mostly through social platforms like Tumblr, MySpace, and YouTube. Some sort of nostalgic internet vibe. Her songs can definitely heal me. Doesn't matter how much people criticized her 2012s live Blue Jeans song on SNL but I'm addicted to that masterpiece.
Its worth noticing that how award ceremonies gives Grammy based on high streams instead of meaning & work. Its obvious that her songs are meaningful with dept. Not everyone can understand it & people would prefer disco & hip hop for vibing & at ceremonies. Difficult to believe that Queen have no Grammy since last 15 years while new singers hatching multiple in a year. Its true that her (Lana Del Rey) is a work of Art.
