the great anti-gooning law of 25 (they won’t let me use spacehey anymore 😞)

i was meant to make this post when the policy where like everything needs to be age verified came out (anti gooning law) since it literally won’t let anyone in the uk use spacehey anymore (fuck you i hate everyone) so im typing this on my phone while using a vpn!

because i cant use spacehey as easily anymore im going to be much less active (as if i was more active than now the first place lol) and i wont be able to update my page AGREHGUGGH im so sad! 

so if i dont like answer any messages or whatever it’s because of that! fucking keir starmer u prick i hate you

the policy is so stupid aswell it literally doesn’t make sense. the law was made to “protect children” from certain content but the thing is that’s not what it’s doing bc ppl still find ways to get past it n it’s the PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY?!??!! anyways this law prevents anyone from viewing explicit content or go on certain sites like ph (n other porn sites) and things like SPACEHEY! oh and also ur basically not allowed to do anything in twitter bc of it

tmi but idc but i had the most amazing collection of vids (wink wink) in my bookmarks and when the law first came out i panicked right! i was horrified bc all of my stuff was gone HOW WAS I GONNA GOON!? but i WASNT going to let this stop me so i changed the country im set in on twitter (genius ik) and it worked! for a couple hours.. i later check and what do i see? all of my gooning material GONE!… i was disgusted i was distraught honestly i was at a loss for words bc what the fuck like i’m literally in romania rn why can i watch it hello?! and using a vpn doesn’t even work on twitter so all that for nothing!

the whole country panicked honestly and even tho most could just show their id and be able to use the p sites but it’s abt the principle and the fact that not only is this ridiculous this is extremely dangerous! this means that dozens of ppl r having to give in personal data to these porn sites which are mostly very sketchy! this pretty much tells the true danger but this also leads to massive data breaches and people living in the uk are having to give their data to third party verification systems which is extremely risky

it’s not even jsut abt the porn it’s the fact that almost everything is now censored for example suicide addiction as helplines chat rooms etc are not accessible anymore so ppl especially young teens aren’t able to get the support and intervention they need it’s horrible. it’s also political content that’s being censored which is so incredibly stupid as they have introduced a new policy of 16yrs olds being able to vote this is the worst time for this comet to be taken away

if political material is being censored 16yr olds are being given the education that they need when getting involved in politics this may result in the rise of reform and conservative votes in the next election which in the state this world is in rn it’s definitely plausible (which is VERY worrying) 

this age verification things does not help whatsoever it’s so stupid genuinely i can’t even get fully into it bc i get so mad
