Now, when I say "old tech", I mean tech from the 2000s-2010s.
Idk about you, but I think I'm starting to admire old tech.
I think one reason is because these devices were simple and were used for just one thing. Example: a device for listening to music, another for gaming, another for making calls, etc. Idk, the old tech stuff just feels simple. Nowadays, sure, our phones and tablets can do everything, but I think we all had the experience of getting distracted and overwhelmed using them. Like, maybe you grab your smartphone to make an important call, then afterwards you ended up getting distracted doomscrolling. I think old tech, in a sense, helps us to avoid distractions.
There's just something cool about, say, plugging in your headphones into your mp3 instead of your phone. Currently, I do own an mp3, and I can confidently say that it's SO much better than using Spotify. It feels like I can actually settle down to listen to my songs compared to when I used Spotify. Then again, I did use the free version.
I also, for some reason, like the idea of pressing physical buttons instead of tapping on a screen.
I think another reason I like old tech is because of the aesthetic. These devices are just really cool! I especially have seen decorated flip phones or 3DSs and it's just so cute seeing all these decorations!
So, yeah. I think old tech is cool :]

Yeah, I've resumed collecting DVDs and repurchased an iPod Classic. I miss dedicated, non-subscription technology.

i also like pushing the physical buttons rather than touching a screen. i actually have been considering getting myself a flip phone for personal use(i'd have to keep my smartphone because of work applications otherwise i'd already have one)
I've also been thinking about getting a flip phone, mostly because I just think it's cool!
