I was originally into spiderman, across the spiderverse, but recently I've been thinking about learning about the rest of spiderman. it seems super cool and i think comic books and movies like spiderman are pretty fun to get into.
should i get into other marvel/dc movies/superheros? they all seem so cool but there's just so much content and i've got so many fixations and schoolwork. eh, i'll get into it anyway.
considering spiderman has existed for over 50 years.. i have no idea where to start. should i go from oldest content to newest or in order of the lore? i could really use some recommendations.
the fandom seems like a pile of shit (except for spiderverse movies, you guys are actually really awesome) but i want to get into this stuff anyways.
i'd rather get recommendations for the movies. mainly bc i dont want to spend any money on comic books yet.

I suppose recs would depend on what you want to get into. There are the 3 Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire (classic), and then 2 Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield (love them better than Tobey's personally).
Tom Holland's Spider-Man is different since he's a part of the MCU and has appearances in projects other than his movies. So many of the MCU projects and characters interconnect with each other that you'd probably need to learn a little bit of background knowledge of past films at the very least before watching anything he appears in.
There will be a new Spider-Man movie next year, and he'll probably be in future projects as well. There is a lot in the MCU to watch, but it can be worth it to see as much as you can if you want to get into the universe, to understand references and impacts of both characters and events. I just love superhero movies, so I watch everything I can personally, but if you don't want to, I'm sure you could find recap videos and other explanations for anything you'd need to know or be confused about.
I'd watch Tobey's 3 movies and then Andrew's 2 movies at the very least.
