Homophobia with family

I’m visiting New York today to see my husband’s family. They are subtly very homophobic. I say this as they won’t say anything to your face but it’s very clear what they view. Like I’m bisexual man married to my gay husband. Like last time I saw them they barely acknowledged me. Except for his Aunt. Like all because of their religious views that they have some much hate for lgbtq community it’s insane. My husband’s parents are very accepting of us and our relationship it’s just the outer family that isn’t. Just wanted to share to see if anyone else could relate. Honestly like we’ve been both avoiding his family for so long ever since I felt excluded. But my husband also get excluded at times as well so like it’s not just me. Since we moved closer to his family like, they been wanting to do monthly visits with the whole family.
