with that being said, when i signed up i kind of expected for here to be a bigger community of people in their 20s or even 30s who are active. as stated on my page, i will only accept requests or add people who are 21+. maybe i haven't looked hard enough yet, but i hope i will find communities with other adults who share the same hobbies, or who even just enjoy blogging and writing in general :D if you're of age then feel free to add me!

I find that it has been especially difficult for me to find adults that have the same interests as me half of the time.

The adults are around! But they’re definitely harder to find haha I’ve run into a lot of kids on here too and I’m pretty surprised considering how the site is based on the internet from before their time lmao, then again though maybe that’s why they’re interested in it. But the adults are around you just gotta look a little harder for them

i genuinely keep forgetting that this site is just filled with tons of kids and it always baffles me. it is also really unfortunate that i keep getting requests from people brazenly announcing they are 14 on the internet because back then that was the ONE thing we were taught not to do

Hi. I’m not an adult but I do sympathise with what you’re saying. Can I suggest an idea that might help you? Go to the list of adults you already have friended and look at their friend lists. It’s likely that most of their friends are also adults who you can send friend requests to. I hope you find this suggestion helpful.

Spacehey was mostly popular on tiktok (even I got to know about it on tt) so I'm guessing that's why there's a lot of minors on here. It's good to see them get used to old-school social media tho :D but anyways it's nice to finally find an adult. Hopefully I find more similar aged friends in this space.

true. i thought i would find more people of my age in here as well, even though i never experienced the real myspace. minors keep adding me, which is annoying. and i refuse them all. i even had a blog for dni for minors to not request, and still i had requests from minors.
yep, myspace wasn't so popular where i'm from as well, but there were other very similar platforms that were thriving so i thought it'd be full of older gen z and millenials here. and about the friend request thing, girl same :(( i've also gotten requests from people who are like 14 lol
