Chuck E Cheese doesn’t care about its animatronics

I need absolutely need to rant about this, so for those that aren’t as crazy about CEC lore and updates as I am the big Cheese corporation decided to make “adult” arcade as all the news articles love to say even though CEC literally said “for grown-up kids and arcade lovers of every era!” Which includes children so technically not actually just for adults but moving on.

Depending on the location they will usually be decorated with whatever the CEC’s in the area have saved from when they did renovations and took down decorations, so some locations that saved a lot of stuff when renovations happened then go to the arcade and have a ton of memorabilia but other places don’t have much(which is the fault of CEC themselves because they deliberately told their employees to destroy things that they were no longer using)

But some locations have “animatronics” that CEC revealed they “saved” from some of these locations but I use the term “animatronics” very loosely. Yes these are from locations when CEC forced all their locations to take out their animatronics(or just fucking destroy them but more on that in a bit) but their a big problem with this.

When YouTubers and people started going to the few locations that were displaying these animatronics one thing became clear. These weren’t animatronics anymore most of the CEC community has labeled these as taxidermy (insert CEC character name here) it’s unclear if these animatronics still even are animatronics some think that they broke the mechanical insides because with the way these animatronics are built their hands and arms could not physically move the way that they are posed in these glass boxes others believe that they just took all the insides out since it would make it easier to move them to these locations.

I believe that knowing CEC it’s most likely they broke the mechanical insides of these characters since they do still have the same shape body wise in my opinion and CEC just doesn’t care enough to properly take care of these animatronics considering their (too long of a damn title for me to care enough to type out) Mark Kupf who has a Mr Munch character behind him as seen in a zoom meeting he did, many have brought up how Munch does not look like a mascot version of the character but the cybermamic version of his character. He was also posed in a similar way to how the other characters have been seen in the Chuck’s Arcade places meaning that if he really in the animatronic version of this character not only did they break the mechanics of the legs since Munch has always been sitting they also did the same thing with the arms considering he in a waving position.

Now Mark is a very pathetic guy who whines about people who actually care about these animatronics since apparently you have to be a kid to like CEC even though CEC literally founder and creator Nolan has always talked positive about CEC and still enjoys it even if he wasn’t apart of it anymore. Does that make him a child? No, Mark has does other stuff I don’t care to talk about point is that they did this before why wouldn’t they do it again.

Another thing when it comes to these “animatronics” people have taken closer looks and these characters weren’t even properly taken care of before they just sent them out to these locations. People have also noticed these characters don’t even have all their proper clothes with characters like Chuck wearing Pasqually shoes and so on which they probably just thought people would ignore and not noticed.

You don’t have to be a animatronic expert to see that when these characters were on stage some could barely move and now they just bend them to whatever pose they want them to have and not even taking the proper care to fix them up at least a little before sending them off. Your not “appreciating your history” by locking up animatronics that you broke in a glass box(even if they don’t have their mechanical insides thats even worse considering they probably just threw out the insides if they don’t have them.) they aren’t mannequins they are pieces of history that people with way less money then you have taken better care of(proven many times by more people then I can name currently)

CEC didn’t care about doing this, it was an illusion of care and a way to get more people to go to their Arcades and keep talking about them. Mark has went on record to say many times that they didn’t have to do any of what they are doing with these animatronics, so we should be thankful to the CEC gods because according to Mark they could have phased these animatronics out without anyone noticing(which have you seen how dedicated the small CEC fandom is Mark?)

Why should we feel grateful when your response to people taking better care of animatronics that you were phasing out was to force CEC locations to take photo proof of them destroying animatronics and decorations? Or leaving one location with animatronics means everyone should be signing your praises??

Another and final thing I’ll say(because this is really long..) you theme these arcades after Pizza Time Theatre(OG CEC) and yet these animatronics are not themed after how they looked during PTT? You couldn’t at least recreate their looks or was that too much to do? Or even recreate the portrait animatronics from PTT, obviously they weren’t gonna make more animatronics but they could have made these half body characters of the old PTT characters since it wouldn’t be that hard because they were half bodies and you wouldn’t be making animatronics just a base and some clothes.
