Hi!!!
It's my first blog here and i wanted to introduce myself first.
I'm Roby, a concept artist and illustrator, as you can tell i really love making art and living in it. I wanted to use this space to share my journey in a different way than i would usually do. Honestly i don't talk a lot about my art on other social media, i just share my works with some caption like "so i made this" or "i really enjoyed doing this" but i didn't really talked about it in some deeeper level like why i do what i do, my inspiration, my goals and dreams. So i want to try and use a blog to open up and talk.
Anyway i bet now you're curious about my art eheh, okay i'll show it to you.
School project
These are some things i did for my last year of academy, i studied concept art and i really like environment design, it's more difficult than character design but i also find it more appealing to do.
Personal works
I do a lot of fan art of things i like, it's my way to express how i feel about certain media.
Ocs
I have some character design and some ocs, i mostly draw nafie and imi because they are my favourites and i love them so much. They are married, with a complicated past that i haven't figured out yet.
Sketches
So this is my digital art, i also do a lot of traditional art because i really love sketching and life drawing, i discovered that planes and engines are so satisfing to sketch, the mechanical and tecnical parts are somehow expressive when drawn.
My instagram feed is confusing: i post sketches, oil paintings, concept art, illustration and handmade keychains like,,,what?
I don't know the adjective for an artist that embrace all kind of medium (like multimedia, multimedial? idk multi something ) but i'm certainly that. The truth is that i really like trying new things like: sculping, photography, bookbinding and handmade keychains. But this i so confusing when you're trying to build an audience online, they know you for one or two things in particular and that's it. I understand that because when I follow an artist for something in particular i like to see more and more of that, but that artist is also a person that is growing, sometimes they will do something different and i really like when they do (not that doing one thing is not okay, i also like consistency and it's a great skill if you want to work professionally as an artist.)
Mybe it's because we follow artists, or creators in general, because we want them to please something in us and if they change something we don't like it anymore, or maybe I'm just coping because i don't want to stick with one thing ahaha. But either way i don't think that i will choose one thing just for social media, it wouldn't be me.
Also: instagram changes things every two weeks, twitter is trashes, tiktok is so addicting that i had to delete it and bluesky is not working like i hoped for me. That said i want to be free from the conviction that i need a lot of followers but it's difficult when you post something and it only gets 2 likes lmao. I even joined some group that was supposed to help with reaching the right audience but i'm honestly too lazy. With this blog i just want to talk about art in general, my art and my journey (wherever it will take me), reach people who are interested in what i do or simply someone who wants to talk about art too!
So i hope some of you reached to the end i will try to post biweekly or monthly,

These are all really amazing!! And I really love the concept art you did for the school project. It looks so good. And omg that Steve and Bucky art? I love it all.
heyy, sorry for my delayed reply and THANK YOUUU, i poured my soul in that project ahaha. And yesss bucky and steveee, they are what i draw most basically and i really love bucky as a character ahah. Thank you so much again for your comment i’m so happy you like my art!! Also i really like your profile pic (spiderman was my fav while i was growing up i had pics and stickers of him EVERYWHERE)

Just those few pieces have such character and depth, I can tell you put your soul into them. It honestly looks like a world I could immerse myself in. Is there an inspiration behind that project?
Bucky is a good character, but my favorite will always be Spider-Man.

Thank you so much, again!! Actually the entire pjoject had to be inspired by Giger and his style (he made the designs for Alien) so it was kind of difficult to mix fantasy and Giger without doing sci-fi stuff, which we couldn't do because the theme was strictly fantasy. The environments are less Giger style i guess, actually Arcane was a huge inspiration for the corruption on the buildings.
Yas, spiderman is a great character, I loved him so much too. Actually I read a fanfiction with Bucky and Peter having a father/son kind of relationship, it was one of my favourite ff and it was centred on Bucky but I really enjoyed reading about spiderman too.
