During my years of schooling, I started off having trouble with being myself, expressing myself the right way. That was because nowadays, all people do is judge. It’s unfortunate, but truthfully, it’s because they’re uncomfortable with themselves. I believe that no one who is happy with themselves will find the time to harass and make fun of others, regardless of what it is.
I’ve had people constantly make fun of the clothes that I wear, those were the same people who dressed like everyone else. Not that that’s an issue, dress how you want, but don’t insult other people who are doing/wearing what they feel fits them. Even despite the rude comments, I’ve had people express that they admire my ability to stand out, be myself, not try to put on clothes that are just trending at the moment, or what everyone else in school is wearing. Fashion is so much more. I once heard that it is an instant language, it tells something about you before you say it. It has much more power than we realize. So when you try to paint over who you really are, it almost takes away a small part of you. Maybe some will consider me as dramatic, but that’s just how I see it. Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who you are. Trying to be someone else is a waste of who you are.
So right now, if you are someone who is afraid of being judged for what you wear, for wanting to do something that’s considered different, don’t be. People will always stare, people will always have opinions; but the one that matters most is YOURS. Different is good.

yeah, the world’s built from different pieces of wood; whether you fit the standard or not, you end up being the center of attention either way. if only judgment wasn’t so common and basic human decency was… well, standard. honestly, if people weren’t so obsessed with judging, i bet half of us would be walking around naked. not that that’s allowed. thats, like- genuinely public exposure.. hahaha
Exactly, lol.
