So back in December of 2004 I got this crazy spontaneous idea to dye my hair blonde haha. I went to a hairdresser and got it dyed and the experience of getting it dyed was quite fascinating. They first "painted" my hair with my dye of choice and I could literally both feel and see it getting lighter and they also used aluminum foil on my head which to me was a brand new experience as well. It was a total YOLO moment for me and I kinda digged it but my mom was so shocked and said "You have ruined Christmas for me!" (Dramatic much haha), my sister, who was 14 or 15 at the time just gave me the wtf look going "What the hell did you do to your hair?" and my dad just laughed at everyone else making a fuzz about it, he was all like "chill, it's just hair and he can always grow his natural color back!" so yeah quite mixed reactions there. In hindsight, it was a tad too blonde haha but it was fun having tried it at least.

Hahaha ya it was too blonde. I mean at that time I think platinum blonde hair was still in style like you saw artists like NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and Eminem having that hair. Aww cute childhood pic of yuou! And yeah that kind of blonde was definitely "in" back then, like you said, Eminem rocked it (much better than me, dare I say lmfao) and some boybands too (I believe Justin Timberlake rocked a very similar shade of blonde at some point). So while it was very current for its time, it was obviosuly a complete fail on me in my opinion lmao!

It depends on the person the way I see it, but for most people it's just way too blonde. I mostly prefer dirty blonde/strawberry blonde, which looks way better and more natural.

I’m naturally dirty blonde. When I was little I was very blonde but with time my hair got darker and darker it usually also gets more lighter in the summertime. My dad had the same thing happen to him when he was a kid he was blonde then became a brunette lol. Funny thing is in Albania blonde hair is not super common do I always got treated as someone exotic there and once I went to my grandma’s village and the people there thought I was a German tourist

Ah I see. Yeah, your kind of blonde (dirty blonde) is the more natural type of blonde I think looks good. And interesting that it's not a common thing in Albania but you and your dad both were dirty blonde and mistaken for Germans there lol. And yeah, you do typically find more blonde/dirty blonde people in northern Europe (Belgium/The Netherlands/Germany/Scandinavia/Finland etc), although some are found in southern Europe as well.
