You should probably follow this Tumblr guide on how to register your chumhandle IF you plan on keeping your handle. Other than that, I think the most interaction you're gonna get from the PesterChum client are random encounters.
There's many other guides online explaining the client, but I say just tinker with it, and press the random encounter button just to see if the person on the other side is even awake; PC is kind of dead last time I checked, lol.
BTW, you're able to make your own theme, which I did wink wink, so if you're artistic and computer literate, you should give it a try.
