media intertwined with real life rant

one of my favourite parts of video games and tv shows that i like is when they incorporate non fiction events into the media, the one im liking the most at the moment is outlast. in the outlast lore, it is heavily connected to project MK Ultra which was a real life CIA operation in the uhhh i think 40s - 50s. MK Ultra was illegal experiments on humans to develop procedures and identify drugs that would help with interrogation and force through brainwashing and psychological torture.

it's a bit gruesome but thats outlast for you! basically in the lore it is very very intertwined to this real thing that actually happened. there are also lots of names mentioned in the outlast trial notes that are names of real people.

another one i think is funny is in one of the x men movies, magneto is in prison for the assassination of JFK like yes bro you did do that!! also in loki, there is a scene where loki is shown to be d.b cooper which i think is just so funny
