So i cooked a bomb ginger chicken knockoff today after watching videos on xiaohongshu and eyeballing all the ingredients and i wanted to express my joy at the recipe succeeding + write it down for future me to remember so:
Steam a good handful of chicken for 16-20 mins with half a teaspoon of ginger (dunno if that did anything but I liked the smell lmao)
Simmer 1 cup chicken broth, a teaspoon of oil, a tablespoon of shoyu, and a half a teaspoon or more of brown sugar
add a tablespoon of ginger & green onion with a single sliced pepper (seeds removed)
soak pulled steamed chicken in the broth after simmering for some time & eat with 1 cup of rice
all these measurements are guesses so just change the recipe to taste if something feels off
