As if 'cancel culture' was new!

FYI - Cancel Culture is not a new thing that the 'liberal democrats' are doing. It has been around as long as I can remember -- brought to me by James Dobson/Focus on The Family and similar bully organizations who regularly sent me mailings instructing me to boycott, ban, or otherwise cancel everything from TV shows to musicians. Off the top of my head, here are a few things I remember as being unworthy of consumption by ANYONE, especially 'Good Christian People'. Even Christian musicians and authors were removed from the shelves of some Christian bookstores if they weren't squeaky clean or if their work didn't line up with an approved version of Christian theology.
Saturday Night Live (every other week pretty much)
Kiss
Prince
Stryper (you can't be a Christian and play hard rock)
TV Commercials (for various reasons)
Any vinyl albums that allegedly had 'backward masking'
Judy Blume Books
Dungeons and Dragons
Harry Potter Books
Anything Astrology
Anything Muslim
Halloween
Haunted Houses
Ellen Degeneres
Sesame Street (for various crimes)
Sandy Patty
Amy Grant
Ray Boltz (he came out as gay OH MY GOD!)
The Golden Compass film
Brian McClaren
Rob Bell
The Message Bible
The NIV translation of the Bible
Feel free to add any that you remember!

I remember growing up it was Pokemon. I had some cousins who came over and I had to hide my Pokemon stuff so they wouldn't be, tempted? I guess? Also had a friend that wasn't allowed to watch Lord of the Rings. CANCELLED!

It's so ridiculous the stuff that these folks cancel...And then complain about their BS being canceled!

Dungeons & Dragons

They even made a movie about it, called Mazes and Monsters. XD

They tried to cancel all Rock N Roll in the 1950s I think.

They also tried to cancel video games like Mortal Kombat in the early 90s. That game, along with Night Trap, led to the formation of the ESRB.

Yep...So much canceling. Now suddenly it's a problem. SIGH.

I agree that it isn't a new phenomenon... you just hear about it more because of social media and sensational news outlets.
