TBR for 2025-2026

My TBR! Some of these books have been on here for a bit, honestly when I'm not reading for school I'm drawing so it's hard to find time to read for myself but I hope to change that :) Will be listing books by Title (Publishing Date) and Author--followed by a mini synopsis of what the book is about!

  • BIX: The Definitive Biography of a Jazz Legend (2005) by Jean Pierre Leon
    - A biography on 1920s jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke. I just got this book two weeks ago for my birthday and it's the first one I'll be diving into. I absolutely adore jazz so I'm excited to see where this goes

  • Anatomy: A Love Story (2022) by Dana Schwartz
    - A historical fiction romance set in 19th century Scotland; focusing on Hazel Sinnet-a woman who dreams of becoming a surgeon and Jack Currer who is a resurrection man trying to make ends meet. I keep trying and failing to connect with romance books but I really wanted to give this one a shot because I think the setting could be really interesting I really hope I like it.

  • Immortality: A Love Story (2023) by Dana Schwartz
    - The second in the duology, Immortality: A Love Story follows Hazel Sinnet (I had to stop reading the synopsis because it spoiled the first book a bit, but that's my fault for not finishing it already!)

  • A Study In Drowning (2023) by Ava Reid
    - Effy Sayre is plagued by visions of a Fairy King since she was a little girl, her copy of a book Angharad is her rock. Following the authors family announcing a contest to redesign her estate, Effy is determined to win. Honestly I got this book form a Blind Book Date and while it isn't something I'd typically pick up I am determined to give it an honest shot, I already have her Lady Macbeth retelling but a family member scooped that up before I got a chance to read it...

  • Lovebug (2023) by Daisy Lafarge
    - A personal essay on the authors thoughts combining love, disease, parasites and the connection between humans and microbial life. Honestly the title and cover is what caught my attention to this book and the subject matter is totally not what I expected but I'm really interested and a bit confused on what this book could possible entail but I see a lot of good reviews on it so I'm excited to see where it goes!

  • Love Notes from the Hollow Tree (2022) by Jarod Anderson
    - A collection of poetry with a focus on nature. I love poetry, I love nature, I'm excited to see what this brings!
