burn out with a fresh start

alright, first blog. going to word vomit.

was originally going to make this a private diary but thought against it, as others may have insight or can relate.

i started a new job recently and was already burnt out from my last one. feeling insanely unworthy of having this job since i still am burnt out and dealing with major imposter syndrome. i have been going to school to become a certified and have worked in the field for 6 years, yet i feel like i always 2nd guess myself and just have a shit mindset. idk if anyone else feels this way, but sometimes it's unbearable.

had a coworker snap at me on my 2nd week at this new job, too, which sucks. cried in front of everyone, which i don't normally do. plus i miss my old coworkers. they genuinely felt like family to me. starting over with strangers is so nerve-wracking and uncomfortable. i am so so bad with change. there has been so many times when i've just thought to myself about other jobs i could do instead since i can't imagine me feeling confident. maybe it's a deeper problem than that.

hopefully i can make another blog post in the future about how i've succeeded with my certification and feel more confident. either that or i've found a job that is better suited for me. i love animals and caring for them, but god does the stress of the job get to me.

I'm giving you lots of hugs alvilda <3 :(

I think you could do wonderful working in your field you'd do wonders for animals with how much you care. You might be feeling a fish bag moment where you're ready to grow into a bigger tank but things just feel uncomfortable and stressful now which is causing a lot of internal strife.

If you can find the willpower to grow through the pain it'd be all the more fulfilling once you reach a better place. That being said, don't let it kill you of course. If it's too difficult you might even benefit from a break if you can find a good in. There might be teaching paths you could go down related to your field. It's never a shame to have to shake things up.

and of course your friends are always here to support you! ^o^ )/)
