One Day Of My Job.

It was a beautiful night, and I was fighting violent crime in Minas Gerais when, over the radio, there was a report about a vehicle that had been carjacked approximately 30 minutes prior to the communication. As soon as the information was relayed to my unit, I immediately entered the vehicle’s license plate into the system, which allows us to check where it had last been spotted by a Hélios camera.

Ten minutes after the information had been transmitted over the radio, my phone issued an alert. Upon checking, I confirmed that it was the stolen car, which was only a few meters away from my unit. When we arrived at the location where the vehicle had passed, we were able to spot it. As we approached and activated the sirens signaling for it to stop, the vehicle fled at high speed.

As it approached a roundabout, the driver of the patrol car managed to collide with the rear of the stolen vehicle, causing the thief to lose control. During the approach tactics, the sergeant and I came under gunfire, forcing us to repel the unlawful aggression. After about two minutes of intense gunfire, the stolen vehicle managed to escape from the unit.

We continued the pursuit, and when the vehicle made a right turn, it lost control and crashed into a utility pole. At that moment, the criminal ran toward a nearby stream, abandoning the weapon. After a foot chase, I managed to capture the thief, who was wounded by gunfire.
