i think you'll enjoy the game a lot more if you don't beat yourself up over mistakes. you can get stuff back again! it's never really over!

Making bad decisions and having a worst time is not exclusive to Minecraft. Try designing your own experience with game rules like keep inventory or don't let the influence of Minecraft players effect how you play for the worse.
