I spent last weekend at my friend's family's summer cottage and took my camera with me! I had such a blast taking pics everywhere. I'll definitely have to start taking my camera to places more. It's such a different feel from just taking pics with my phone. I just prefer a camera sooo much more. Even tho my phone has the same, if not better quality, I love the feel of cameras so much. Pressing on an actual button, instead of tapping on my screen. I love taking out the SD card and transporting the pictures to my laptop
After coming home, I showed off all the pictures to my dad, and he said I could borrow his current camera sometime if I wanted to! I think it's actually a very good quality one, so pictures on that would probably end up being insane! :D
After some rain, suddenly this big ol' toad rose from the water and stomped around the rock path. I really wanted to pick it up, or even get a little closer to it so I could take better pictures, but decided to leave it alone and watch from afar. After some time it stomped back to the bushes
Pic my friend took of me while I went for a swim
I heard some splashing around and thought my friend's dogs went for a swim. But lo and behold, on the platform there were three goosanders. I scared them by accident, and they jumped back to the water and swam away. I'm so sad, I wish I was more careful when approaching, I would have loved to watch them play in the water. But at least I got some sort of a picture as a memory :(

those pics look beautiful! the sunset one is breathtaking <3 and you're right, using a camera feels very different...it kinda feels more authentic in a way?
did you also use film cameras before?
also i love your writing style 💕 so relaxing and calm
Oh my god thank you!!! I've never had anyone compliment my writing. I always thought I was bad at it T_T
And no, I haven't used film cameras before. My mom does have her old one somewhere though, with some film left inside of it too. So maybe I could ask her if I could borrow it sometime

Nothing beats a real camera :D
The pictures look so peaceful. It reminds me of the place where my grandmother used to live. She had a bungalow by the water, surrounded by nature.

wowww these r so pretty !! i def get what u mean abt cameras feeling better. my friend told me i shouldnt bother getting a camera cuz my phone takes photos just fine but it's different !!! cameras are so authentic and pretty and i've taken hundreds more photos than i would've on my phone. i don't feel so weird stopping in the street to take pictures of birds when i've got a clunky camera lol. people come up to me and ask if it's a hobby or if i'm a professional, if i can take their photo, etc! it's so cool !!!!
Just the process itself makes me appreciate the pictures and moments more than I normally would. The cameras that phones have nowadays are insanely good, but there's just something about holding an actual camera in my hands, rotating the focus on one hand, and pressing down my index finger to take the picture on the other. I love how physical it is. I love how much I'm part of the picture taking process. I love clicking buttons and twisting some wheels. It's not as convenient as a phone, but it has so much more soul to me x)
