Kinda miss when one of my cousins would tell me some spooky stories. The urban legend in Disneyland. The supposed dark rumors about places and people. The caution of night and warning of shadows. The eerie feeling of knowing better but that kind of scary stuff left me scared yet curious. Some things were real, but some were pretty good entertainment at the time.

Or when my grandma used to tell me stories and horror of her hometown in Mexico. When my dad told me about the paranormal and witchcraft he encountered as a kid.

Things are expectantly changing as a young adult but it feels boring. I miss looking up when it was nighttime and hoping Mothman would appear somewhere near the moon. I do sometimes believe in ghosts and stuff like that. That kind of thing doesn't change: believing.

It's precious that you remember and share this, childhood memories are special. This made me think about my childhood as well and I miss it even though I'm still young but things are different now. And it's even more precious that you believe in all of these, I do too! We don't really have to change when we grow up after all, not completely.

Thanks for saying so! It'll take a multitude of blogs to talk about these memories and experiences, but I love these kind of spooky ones! Childhood really was such a magical thing ✨

I agree completely! But I am also a firm practitioner of “making life whimsical” and therefore look for that kind of stuff anyways. (If you’re looking for urban legends, I suggest Spirits Podcast! Its a boozy dive into mythology, folklore and stories from around the world. Amanda and Julia are fantastic hosts, and I just finished the episode on The Flatwoods Monster!)

Ooh, thank you! I've been rewatching the same videos and it's been a repetition that I memorized some of these stories. I'm definitely going to check them out. Thanks again!
