faeries?

Hey,

Last week I had a wonderful conversation about Faeries. It's really rare for me to meet someone else who is a believer. So, of course, I got really excited to speak about the Hidden Folk without being judged or dismissed or argued with. And being so at ease, I forgot that talking so openly about the People of the Green can attract their attention. We both also used the term 'Faery' a lot as we spoke which is another thing you aren't really meant to do. In fact, it was only at the end that my conversation partner realized and said somehing about it. Oops! Hopefully the Wee Folk took it with all the respect and admiration we intended.

Then, yesterday, I discovered about a dozen different mushrooms growing around the back garden that certainly hadn't been there a few days ago. I know that fungi can grow very quickly and that we've had a lot of rain. So I'm trying to be logical about this. But part of me is hoping that some Faeries overheard my conversation and decided to follow me home. I have had some brief encounters in the past. And I would just love to have more. I've been a Faërie Friend for as long as I can remember. So I hope that if there's a local Fae community that they'll come to visit.
