I stream for myself first and foremost, not just present me but future me, as a testament to my existence and growth. Suffering from a lot of memory issues I require pictures and videos in order to remember a lot of whats happened to me, and seeing clips people share and videos i've made and streams i've done gives me slices into my past that feel so special to me. I want to advocate for that space, that little pocket of me that gets to be shared with the internet and eventually with future Mnem, whoever that'll be.
I want to make streaming my career, yeah, but moreso because I want a justification to make my passions and the things I love my priority than because I want to be famous or make millions. I just want to be, y'know? And I want to be known, make a scar in the world that holds my name. I should really reread Looking For Alaska...

Oh damn that's super interesting. I personally stream to work on my public speaking skills, have fun with my friends and play the games i've been meaning to for the longest time! I'm pretty bad at just sitting down and playing stuff. Having someone "there" really helps me focus.
But i feel you on the memory stuff. I keep a diary for the same exact reason! And i love making videos and taking tons of pictures just to commemorate stuff
Keep it up man! I hope your dream to make it into a career comes true
You're so right, I can't believe I forgot. Streaming lets me play games I'd otherwise not play or find time for, especially older games and things from my childhood that I get to play like its my first time, doing everything all over again cause even if i've done it before, chat hasn't seen it in the journey we're taking together, and even just the vague idea of sharing it with others lets me view a game ive played hundreds of times like its my first
