To set anything straight. I am a feminist.
I was hanging out with my sister and her husband. He's a few years out of the Navy now but still has the same kind of mentally from being in the Navy.
Anyways I always like taking pictures and being on my phone.
While hanging out with my sister he was like I leave my phone at home sometimes as a jap near me. And I had to address that I couldn't do that. And he went into it as because I'm on social media and I was like no...
If I leave the house without a phone I could be kidnapped, I could get attacked.
He didn't even acknowledge his male privilege that he can just go around without a phone.
I had to state that I don't trust men when they are around me because you never know and, After this interaction he called me a crazy feminist.
My sister who said "hey don't be mean"
Which is a lot for my shy sister so at least she said something instead of just being silent.
Just upset me because I'm scared of being taken on the regular so maybe I should have just not responded to his jap earlier. But crazy how someone only four years older than you can be so out of touch.
Also side note, He has the most toxic masculinity I've ever seen. He reused to drink a drink that needed a straw because drinking with a straw seemed not manly to him.
