Report Blog Entry
It’s been two days since I've left for the city. I left the house the next morning and started walking toward the city. I’m not there yet — I’ve been cutting through back roads and staying off the main highways just in case. The city skyline is finally starting to peek over the trees now.
The sirens are still going. Fainter here, but constant. They don’t echo out here like they did in town — it’s more like… background radiation. You can forget it’s there until you really listen.
I haven’t seen any people. No cars. No planes. Just wind and sun and silence.
Except—I think someone’s following me.
I keep catching glimpses of something in my peripheral vision. A shape — tall, maybe wearing dark clothes. I’ll spin around, and there’s nothing there. Nothing ever there. But it’s not the same as being alone. You can feel the difference.
Once, I thought I saw it standing in the middle of a cornfield I passed. Just barely — far off, almost lost in the stalks. I looked away to grab my flashlight. When I looked back, it was gone.
I don’t know if it’s real. I don’t know if anything still is. But I haven’t stopped moving.
There’s a gas station about a mile ahead. Looks abandoned, like everything else. I’m going to try to get inside and rest for a bit. Maybe they have a map or a working socket so I can charge my devices. Doubt it, but I’ll try.
If you’re reading this… which path should I take when I hit the city?
Do I go deeper in — try to find someone, anything?
Or do I keep skirting the edges, avoid being seen?
I still don’t know what’s out here with me.
But I’m pretty sure it knows I’m here.
Sorry again for missing a day, but given my situation I'm sure you'd understand

Ok I would recommend going into the city if you're being stalked, mainly because I think you should look for a bicycle or something to "steal" so you can cover more ground faster.

If someone/thing is following you it might be better to go into the city as it could be easier to get them off your trail, but depending on how dense the city is, it could give them more places to hide as well. you may also find other people there (if there are any left).
Also, are there any animals or is the wildlife gone as well? have you seen any life other than yourself so far?
As far as I know, it's only me. I haven't even seen any animals yet..

What do you mean missing A day, it's been almost 2 weeks between posts, i even stopped checking for a while. Also definitely keep going deeper, if they ARE following you it's probably easier to lose them there. If anyone is left they most probably are in the city as well. I am currently at a loss for rational explanations outside of the classic large scale evacuation.
