Honestly, I don't hate Tiktok. It's a great way to get your videos out and the way the algorithm is built is great for getting an audience. But honestly? I hope it gets banned. It honestly sucks, the way it has made every fandom that gets popular die out within the month cause their fyp moves onto the next thing and they blindly follow along is so sad. Even I'm a victim of this, I've been in and out of fandoms more then I ever have. And it's fun and all, but honestly I don't want people to just move to another app for their scrolling fix, I think it's about time we move on from all that. It's genuinely so sad to see fandom turn into this.
Hehe I hope some people move to Spacehey, cause it's kinda dead here. Ofc it's not DEAD dead, but it defo could be more active, a lot of members never post/made an account years ago and then dipped. For me it's perfect for ranting where nobody I know will see. I love to be able to get my rants out and customize my blog. I just wish there were more people consistantly active...

totally agree for the most part, but tiktok also has its pros which makes the conversation of the "tiktok ban" so confusing and polarizing. like you said, tiktok can help people reach a big audience, which can help small businesses grow and become successful. tiktok also has creators which promote important topics and such as mental health and political affairs, helping people who may not have access to the information they deserve to recieve. tiktok's done so much bad for the world, but its also done so much good...

yeah it really is, cause i dont like the reasons for it being banned, and i get that it's an important platform for people to make money which they may rely on, and i get that, but also the way it's shaped the internet into a worse place is pretty harmful, so theres pros and cons. I think I'm fine either way what happens to tiktok, if it stays around I'm glad, but also if it gets banned well so be it.

I completely get this. I don't like TikTok because the amount of unnecessary hate people get is insane and needs to be either regulated or stopped entirely. It also ruined people's attention spans.
