where did all the color go?

it's not some divine secret that pollinators (bees, butterflies, etc) get all their energy from flowers. you can't have one without thinking about the other, it's just basic instinct.

it is also no secret that pollinators are, quite literally, running out. bees, butterflies, and others are quickly losing their populations. it's funny, but when i was a little kid i would get scared whenever i saw a bee. but now, i get excited when i see just one. i am overjoyed when i see a bee.

have you ever noticed that there's like... no colors? everything's just the same shade of grey and green. green is okay, but i like blue and yellow a lot better than a stale plane of just green. why aren't there more colors? why aren't there more flowers or anything other than fuckin green ass grass? come on guys, what? are people allergic to flowers or something?? ...well, yes there are, but are there people allergic to colors other than green and gray?

if you can, plant some flowers in your backyard. if you don't have a backyard, put a pot on the windowsill of your bedroom. bring color into your own life if others won't. maybe it'll help the bees. if nothing else, it's much prettier to look at.
