Well right now I am enjoying being creative with my profile. Reading blogs and meeting new people. Things we do on other social media but right now there are no ads here, no hyper political wall posts, no pressure. Just a bunch of creatives basking in nostalgia but also thinking of where we can go from here. Most mainstream social media tends to cause a lot of doom scrolling and anxiety to the point where many of us longed for the older days of social media before the invention of the algorithm. Who knows how long it'll last but it sure is nice to get a break.

For me it was the best place to discover music, obviously adding the record labels, and the major bands, but also often being added by some random new band from Gutterville, Ohio, with their lo-fi demo, and seeing them gaining momentum, and eventually signed, that was nice.
Yeah, I also had personal connections, lol.
