notepad++ is a REALLY good coding application! you can switch the coding language and it'll change the color of the text based on said language, has tab completion, and other super useful features! far better than coding without syntax highlighting :3

this is so so so good for making your layout look good and harmonious (if that's what you want). you can can alter generated palettes, look at other people's palettes and modify those, lock colors you want to keep, export to png and more, it's insanely good and invaluable :D
