Journaling #1 <3

When I was little, I used to think the future of technology and the advancement of it would be so cool. I grew up on movies like Zenon, spy kids, meet the Robinson, and time traveler's wife. Tv shows like Doctor Who. 

The whole idea of it is still pretty cool. But, I fear we're heading into a wall-e/Detroit Meet Human future. 

I remember when iPhone was less advanced and people were still out having a life. Now, people are on technology 24/7. Kids are being raised on the iPad.   

Now, the older teens and young adults get, they start to reminisces how good life was without technology was 24/7. They start missing when they used to be kids. We still had the internet. Of course. 

I fear AIs is going to be a problem. Well it sort of is now. There was a writer strike in the film industry BECAUSE of Ai being used to write scripts and shows. But, also there was problems with actors as well because film directors or crew were "using ai to replace actors". Putting both writers and actors out of work.  AI is getting so advanced to the point it can mimic people's voices and copy their faces. People are relying on ai to help them with schooling and magazines are using ai models to fill their pages.

I adore technology and how it works, but it does needs some limits and regulations. Esp, for AI. 

Drawing from my wall-e reference, did you hear that they're making a space hotel that will be open in 2027. It's called, Voyager Station. Holy- that's crazy right!!!!!! It's estimated to "cost around $5 million for a three-and-a-half-day stay". Imagine a bunch of rich people up there running around. It's like wall-e except they're not in moving chairs (well not that we know of yet). That some crazy wild thing to hear or imagine. I do not want wall-e to come to life for humanity as much as I love wall-e. The whole idea reminded me of the show/novel, "The 100" . I saw "images of it" and it reminded me of the show right away. 

It blows my mind that it is actually happening. Maybe, it won't. But, who knows. Kind of scary and interesting think about.
